Extra heat joined him in the room. Too much presense. Too much awareness. Not enough strength to push her away. He used his right hand to try and wave her out, but to no avail. He gave a short exhale through his nose in place of a grunt. His legs rubbed together at his knees to heat himself up. Funny. I'm usually cold by choice. Now that I'm cold by force I can't stand it. His internal monologue began to bother him. His own anger was begining to him him a headache. Was I always like that? Do I always give myself a headache? His next exhale was choppy and made his chest shake, forcing a light coughing. Odin winced, his pulling his shoulders again and scrunched his face. His eyes glued closed for the brief moment of coughing. It felt long and painful. In reality, it was short. It was barely a moment in time.

Shatter's ears twitched in response to the coughing and she stirred in her sleep. Her tail slid down her leg and off the side of the chair, now gently flicking back and forth. The female opened her eyes slightly and felt some kind of conciousness, she sat up, still half asleep. Looking around slowly, she looked at the Odin-lump and tilted her head. She then rested her head on the table next to his bed, not bothering to say anything because she was still sleepy herself. Her tail did take a mind of its own it seemed and rested on the side of Odin, the tip flicking back and forth.

The door opened. "Did you ever manage getting that soda?" A man walked in, also a nurse. His voice was soft, nicer than the woman from before. "My friend told me you really wanted your soda. You're missing a lot of blood, though," He placed another cup of water beside Odin's soda. "If you finish the water, you can have some of the soda. The nurse smiled and crossed his arms, he held a clipboard in one hand and a pen in the other. "Excuse me, miss?" He looked to Shatter before placing a hand on her shoulder. "Are you his sister?" His eyes were as soft as his voice. A caramel fluff on the top of his head matched the beginnings of a beard. He leaned down some to be closer in height to the sleeping Shatter.

Shatter's ear twitched and she murmured, "No, just a worried friend... I'll leave if you guys are gonna do stuff..." She yawned and sat up straight, her tail curling back around her. The female looked down at Odin then up at the nurse, "Is he gonna be okay though?" She played with her fingers as she prepared herself for the worst.

"No, no. You're fine. Could you fill in some of his information?" He held out the clipboard after changing which page was on top. The pen was then placed on top. The birthdate, age, address, phone number, and a few other spaces were empty. Odin began to move, instintively going for the drink. "Good morning, sunshine," The nurse smiled. The clipboard was lowered, although still being offered to Shatter.

Shatter gently took the clipboard and asked, "What if he lives in an orphanage...?" She filled in the age, knowing that at least in human years that Odin was fourteen. She frowned slightly and put in the orphanage's phone number and address. After finishing that, she looked to Odin, 'When is his birthday anyway?' She gently tapped his shoulder, "Hey Odin? When's your birthday?"

"Ah, is that his name?" The nurse pushed some of his hair to the side and looked down at Odin. "I feel like I recognize him. Has he come to the hospital a lot?" "Nnn," Odin grumbled, falling asleep but hearing his name. Another heavy sigh left his chest from his nose. His eyes shut tighter. The nurse seemed to instinctively put his hand on Odin's head and pat his hair down. Odin wasn't one for a calm touch, although he seemed to mildly calm down. "I think I recognize him," Voice trailing off, the nurse retracted his hand after Odin's shoulders remained lowered for a few seconds. He looked to the door, lost in thought. His hand still stayed close to the edge of the bed were Odin lay.

Shatter watched the nurse for a second or two before writing the address of the orphanage into one of the boxes and put it by the nurse's hand. She looked back to Odin and tilted hear head, her hair falling like a light pink waterfall down her shoulder. Oh Odin, please be okay, Shatter hesitantly reached out and patted Odin's shoulder. Pondering whether or not she should stay, the female eventually went with going back to the orphanage. She left her seat and bowed slightly to the nurse, "Thank you for taking care of him." After leaving the room quietly, she made her way to the orphanage, thinking about Odin's condition. The thought of him dying scared her, until she remembered he was god-like. That means he can't die, right? Gods can't die, She thought and nodded, trying to reassure herself that Odin would be okay. As Shatter neared the orphanage, her stomach felt twisted and filled with butterflies. Opening the doors carefully, so as to not make any loud noises, she scurried inside and up the stairs to the female side of the orphanage. Shatter stopped as she was about to enter her and Courtney's room. Stepping inside the room, Shatter's skin was assaulted with ice cold air and she noticed an open window. Walking over to it to close it, she heard Courtney's soft snores and Shatter smiled slightly. After shutting the window, Shatter slid out of her dress to lay on the bed next to Courtney's and laid awake, staring at the ceiling as blankly as her mind felt.

A doctor entered the room, the nurse was writing up some notes for another patient, lingering in Odin's room. "You sick bas-" The doctor's eyes were dark. The nurse looked up, not recognizing the doctor. "Sir?" "Oh, I'm sorry," The doctor's eyes smiled, his mouth covered by a medical mask. "Bad day. How's Odin doing?" "Alright. He has been sleeping. Don't let him have any caffeine, though. His body seems to be digesting food unnaturally and it is definitely linked to the soda," The nurse crossed his arms, holding the clipboard. "Alright, thank you. I'll wake him up, you go tend to some other patients," The doctor dismissed him. As the nurse moved to leave, a number of things becan to occur to him, one after the other. Since when did we have any other doctors in this wing? We don't need another one. How did he know his name? I never showed anyone the clipboard...
